The Learning Collaborative
Urban Universities for HEALTH is a learning collaborative through which university health leaders can share knowledge and bring promising practices to scale. In addition to the five demonstration sites, Urban Universities for HEALTH includes an extended network of urban universities to identify, test and adopt evidence-based strategies and tools to improve the health workforce. Since every city faces different challenges, the engagement of these learning partners will ensure that our findings are robust and can be adapted for implementation on a national level.
Our work also benefits from collaboration with various community organizations, nonprofits, and government agencies that are aligned with the vision and goals of this project. By developing partnerships with stakeholders beyond the university, our work will have greater relevance for the urban communities that we serve.
In order to accelerate the speed of learning and validate evidence for broader use, the Learning Collaborative will engage university leaders and other stakeholders at various levels.
Our demonstration sites will be the focus of our learning, however in order to maximize impact we will disseminate knowledge to a wider group of urban universities and community organizations.
